Located within the high traffic heart of Foxwoods Resort & Casino lies the well known foodie hot spot, Sugar Factory. A restaurant that offers its guests a delightful blend of upscale dining as well as signature and crazy sweets! The popular restaurant offers eye popping drinks like their alocoholic or even non-alcoholic drink goblets, crazy milkshakes where the glasses are smothered in chocolate, or even a 24k gold burger. Yes, a burger that is completely covered in edible gold! The atmosphere offers a fusion of chic and retro flair, with floral walls and neon signs, it’s the perfect spot to grab your imstagrammable foodie pics to make any friend jealous.
We received the exciting opportunity to take a peek at this years Valentine’s Day menu and we’re here to tell you all about it!
How sweet it is to share food with you! We found that sugar factory located at Foxwoods resort and casino is the perfect spot to bring someone you love and to eat fantastic food with! And as foodies who are well aware that our eyes are bigger than our stomachs, we highly suggest sharing some of their plates because boy, oh, boy are they filling!
We started off with their love potion drink! “Crafted with love and a hint of mischief”, this drink features casamigos, triple sec and lemonade. They top it off with some liquid nitrogen to create a very realistic potion look to it like you see in the movies! Garnished with heart shaped gummies, it’s a good drink that’ll make you fall in love, or get buzzed.
Next up was the valentines sampler platter. We decided to skip the meals and share some appetizers because we knew how’d filling the food would be from past experiences. Included in the be mine sampler is 4 mozzarella sticks, 3 sweetheart Mac and cheese bites, 3 chicken tenders and a stack of onion rings. Accompanied with these delicious bites are 3 different dipping sauces, marinara, ranch and what seemed to be a smoky sweet chicken dipping sauce. All were very good!
The mozzarella sticks had the perfect cheese pull to them. The Mac and cheese bites are very heavy, however if you’re a lover of Mac and cheese then it’s definitely something for we. We were a big fan of the chicken tenders because we’re secretly still kids at heart and they were fantastic with the dipping sauce. And the onion rings were very solid as well!
How can you not indulge in nachos next. The perfect sharing appetizer for sure! Layered with colorful corn tortilla chips, cheddar cheese sauce, sour cream, guacamole, and garnished with green onions, these nachos will be leaving you ready for dessert. We loved the creaminess of the cheese sauce and how each topping didn’t over power the other. Each bites toppings all blended together for a great flavor!
To end off the night strong and completely full, we opted for the Strawberry Kisses Shake. A white chocolate rimmed glass filled with a strawberry milkshake, topped with their homemade donut, more strawberry ice cream topped with a heart gummy skewer and a ring pop. This shake had other customers breaking their necks to take a peek. We can’t lie, this thing was heavy. But extremely delicious. I’m a big fan of everything strawberry so this was a perfect way to the end the night! We highly suggest taking a bite of the donut with ice cream. They pair extremely well together!
